Bob has been actively engaged in residential and commercial real estate development, practicing real estate law, and teaching real estate courses for more than 45 years. Bob has served as an instructor teaching the Real Estate Principles course for the Masters in Real Estate Development program and the MBA program at Clemson University and has taught courses dealing with the specific areas of commercial real estate development, acquisition, financing, management of, and the disposition of commercial real estate. Bob has served as guest speaker at meetings of the Real Estate Law Society at the University of South Carolina School of Law. While previously practicing law, Bob served as the attorney for three different banks, a Board of Zoning Appeals, a Plan Commission, a Drainage Board, a local Board of Realtors, as well as served as County Attorney. Bob has attended various courses and seminars around the United States pertaining to commercial real estate development, financing, law, and acquisition, as well as the management of and disposition of commercial real estate.

Bob is also the CEO and founder of Atlanta Restaurant Group, LLC, which is a franchisee for 5 McAlister’s Deli restaurants and 2 Guthrie’s Golden Fried Chicken Fingers restaurants, all in the Atlanta, Georgia area. Net Lease Development, Inc. served as the developer for all 7 of these restaurants. Bob is the founder and 100% owner of the entities that own the real estate for these 7 restaurants, which currently operate today.

Prior to the creation of Atlanta Restaurant Group, LLC, Bob created Arkansas Restaurant Group, LLC and served as Managing Member of this entity, which owned and operated 9 Zaxby’s restaurants in Arkansas. Net Lease Development, Inc. served as the developer for all 9 of these restaurants. Bob was the founder and 100% owner of the entities that owned the real estate for these 9 restaurants. Bob subsequently sold these 9 restaurants along with the real estate in 2016.

During the course of Bob’s real estate career, he has negotiated the acquisition of, and/or supervised the development of, in excess of $100,000,000 worth of various types of commercial and investment real estate. In conjunction therewith, Bob has arranged for in excess of $75,000,000 worth of financing in order to facilitate said acquisitions and/or development. Bob has directed the long term operations of in excess of $100,000,000 worth of various types of commercial and investment real estate. Additionally, Bob has located the purchasers for and negotiated the disposition of approximately $80,000,000 worth of commercial and investment real estate.

Bob graduated from Missouri State University in 1967 with a B.S. degree and major in Psychology. Upon receiving a graduate assistantship, he achieved his M.A. degree in Counseling Psychology in 1968 from the same university. Bob attended Valparaiso University College of Law and graduated in 1972 with a Juris Doctor degree.

Bob has been married to his wife, Vicki, for 56 years. He has 4 adult children and lives in Greenville, South Carolina.
